Conquering the Communications Challenge
Many utility operators are learning how innovative communications software can drive significant safety and business benefits. Communications interoperability is a major focus for utilities of all kinds as they review and reinforce their emergency management processes and procedures. Every region of the country is subject to widespread emergencies and disasters of one type or another, whether forest fires, heavy flooding, earthquakes or ice storms, etc., and ongoing national concerns about terrorism and flu pandemics raise the stakes even further.
